Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  18-22mm

Flight Period:  August onwards, and in spring after hibernation

Observations:  Larvae feed on a Oak. Adults can be quite variable.

Confusion Species: 

L.O.N.:  Weekley Hall Wood & Geddington Chase. Apparently much easier to find after hibernation.
