Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  18-22mm

Flight Period:  July - October

Observations:  Larvae feed principally on a Sallows, Polars and Birch.

Confusion Species:  E. effractana

L.O.N.:  Common in many places. The imago very closely resembles a dead Hawthorn leaf, and when disturbed by beating very commonly drops to the ground.
