Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  11-14mm

Flight Period:  April - May

Observations:  Larvae feed on the needles of various coniferous trees such as Silver Fir and Spruces. Adults fly by day, usually high in the canopy, possibly explaining the paucity of records. Further records might be obtained by beating foliage during the day.
