Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Woodland

Wingspan:  12-13mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae feed on Firs, initially mining the needles, then in a silken web in a leaf tangle. Adults fly around the tips of branches on sunny afternoons, but may be disturbed from lower branches on dull days.

Confusion Species:  E. nemorivaga, E. tedella
