Rare - no modern records

feed on wild Roses, particularly Burnet Rose. The paucity of modern
records perhaps mirrors the decline of the preferred larval pabulum.
Burnet Rose seems to be very rare in VC32, limited according to Gent
and Wilson (2012) to a handful of sites, inlcuding Mantles Heath,
Wicksteed Park Lake, Cranford Quarry & Harrington Airfield. Adults
are said to be easily disturbed from foliage by day, fly in the late
afternoons, and readily come to light.

N. trimaculana, N. rosaecolana, N. roborana
