Primary Habitat:  Wasteground

Wingspan:  18-23mm

Flight Period:  May - June

Observations:  Larvae feed on the roots and stems of Spear Thistle and Musk Thistle. Adults and very similar to those of E. cirsiana and thus require to be subject to genitalia dissection to be sure of identification.

Confusion Species:  E. cirsiana
