Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Wasteground

Wingspan:  13-19mm

Flight Period:  April - June

Observations:  Larvae feed on the flowers and stems of Goldenrod. This species has only a single record in VC32, and the larval foodplant is now believed not to be present outside of gardens (certainly the case with S. virgaurea).
