Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, Woodland, Wasteground

Wingspan:  15-23mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed on the flower heads of various Knapweeds and Thistles. One of the most frequently encountered members of the genus, also turning up in garden light traps.

Confusion Species:  Other Eucosma species
