Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, Hedgerows

Wingspan:  12-14mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae feed inside the developing hips of Dog Rose. The adults fly on sunny days over the foodplant, and rarely come to light. It is interesting to note that males come to the pheromone lure designed for G. funebrana, so further records may be achieved by this method.
