Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Woodland, Hedgerows

Wingspan:  10-15mm

Flight Period:  June - July

Observations:  Larvae feed inside the developing fruits of Blackthorn, Plum and other Prunus species. The adults fly on sunny days over the foodplant, but occasionally come to light. Males come to the pheromone lure designed for this species, so further records may be achieved by this method.

Confusion Species:  G. tenebrosana
