Observations:  Larvae feed on the seeds of Norway Spruce. Adults fly by day but do also come to light. Recent records have been obtained by collecting a handful of Spruce cones in April and retaining these in an airy net cage - adults emerging after approximately 2-3 weeks.

Confusion Species:  C. conicolana
