Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Grassland, Gardens, Roadside verges

Wingspan:  12-16mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: May - June, July - September

Observations:  Larvae feed in the seedpods of Gorse and Broom. Adults (particularly males) fly by day but do also come to light. Females tend to be more crepuscular in activity.

Confusion Species:  C. medicaginis
