Distribution/Abundance:  Rare - no modern records

Primary Habitat:  Marshy areas

Wingspan:  18-23mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larval foodplants and habits are poorly understood, but associated with Sphagnum Moss and possibly grasses. Only a singly 1907 record exists to date.

Confusion Species:  Several other of the Crambus genus bear similarities, especially in worn individuals, particularly C. silvella, C. pascuella, C. pratella, C hamella.
