Distribution/Abundance:  Local

Primary Habitat:  Wet woodland, Damp grassland

Wingspan:  25-45mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed within the stems of Common Reed and Reed Sweet-grass. Adults are sexually dimorphic, with males bearing some resemblance to some forms of Donacaula forficella. Females are much paler and larger.
