Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Wet woodland, Riverside locations

Wingspan:  25-45mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed within the rolled shoots of Common Reed, Reed Sweet-grass and some Sedges. Adults are sexually dimorphic, with females lacking the fuscous forewing stripes of the male.
