Distribution/Abundance:  Rare

Primary Habitat:  Wet woodland, Riverside locations

Wingspan:  22-35mm

Flight Period:  June - August

Observations:  Larvae feed within the stems of Common Reed, Reed Sweet-grass and some Sedges. Adults are sexually dimorphic, with females being larger and slightly paler than the male.
