Primary Habitat:  Gardens, Woodland

Wingspan:  18-44mm

Flight Period:  May - September

Observations:  Larvae feed inside beehives and wasp nests, feeding on the combs. Adults sexually dimorphic with both frequently attending light traps.

Confusion Species: 

L.O.N.:  Several locations. Rather common. Comes to light.
