Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Gardens

Wingspan:  14-22mm

Flight Period:  June - September

Observations:  Larvae feed on dried foodstuffs and dried/decaying leaves. NB: The species was formerly known as Ephestia unicolorella.

Confusion Species:  Care must be taken to differentiate from other Ephestia species when caught in or close to grain storage facilities.
