Distribution/Abundance:  Scarce

Primary Habitat:  Gardens

Wingspan:  17-23mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: July, September onwards, and in spring after hibernation

Observations:  Larvae feed on the flowers and developing seeds of Hedge Woundwort. The adults are seemingly not keen on light, and thus are better observed by checking flowers or by sugaring.

Confusion Species:  Amblyptilia acanthadactyla
