Primary Habitat:  Grassland

Wingspan:  17-24mm

Flight Period:  Probably bivoltine: June - September

Observations:  Larvae feed within the stem and rootstock of Small Scabious. Adults may be kicked-up from vegetation by day.

Confusion Species:  Care is required to differentiate between this and other Stenoptilia species
