Common Plume Emmelina monodactyla

  B&F: 1524

ABH: 45.044

Status:  Resident

Distribution/Abundance:  Common

Primary Habitat:  Everywhere

Wingspan:  18-27mm

Flight Period:  Bivoltine: March - May, June - October

Observations:  Larvae feed on Bindweeds and occasionally Morning Glory. Very frequent in garden light traps. Most references state this moth to be bivoltine, but I have also seen moths in December, specifically when I brought living Christmas tree into the house on 24th December 2015, with three adults emerging from the foliage the next morning. This seems to indicate an over-wintering phase
