Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very local.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in May and June.

Localities: Collyweston Quarry and Barnack Hills and Holes.

Observations: Former localities include Ailsworth Heath in the 1960’s, Helpston Heath, Bedford Purlieus and Oxney Gravel Pits in the 1940’s and 1950’s. It seems likely that undiscovered colonies of the species could well be present in the north of the county. Five moths were recorded at m.v. light on 13 June 2004 at Barnock Hills and Holes.
