Habitat: Woodland.
Flight Period: Single
brooded in June and July.
Localities: Cold
Oak Copse, Brampton Wood, Collyweston Great Wood and
Southey Wood.
Observations: Although
regularly seen at light in small numbers in north and mid
Northants the species generally seems to be more
plentiful in the countys southern woodlands. The
moth was particularly common on 20 July 1991 under the
old oaks in Hazelborough Wood with some thirty moths
being attracted to m.v. light. The Fineshade Rothamsted
light running in woodland in the 1990s only
attracted three examples of the moth.

but often very common.
