B&F: 1673

Status: Resident.
Distribution
and Abundance: Rather local.
Primary Habitat: Woodland.
Flight Period: Single
brooded from June to August.
Localities: Deanshanger
School grounds, Horn Wood, Glapthorn Cow Pasture and
Castor Hanglands.
Observations: In
my experience seen in very small numbers in the county. A
moth was taken on 27 July 2002 at Boughton Park in a
light trap running under a large cultivated clematis.
There does not seem to be any travellers joy, the
normal foodplant of the moth, in this garden area.
L.O.N.: 1907.
Near Oundle. Flying round C. vitalba at dusk.
First Record: 1902,
Victoria County History.
