  Little Emerald Jodis lactearia

B&F: 1674

ABH: 70.303

Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded from May to August.

Observations: This moth is not strongly attracted to light and is therefore under recorded in the county. In my experience it is more easily netted at dusk. The Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland produced no captures of the species in the eight years to 2000 and the Pitsford Water traps recorded eight in the decade to 2009.

L.O.N.: 1907. Many woods. Often very common.

First Record: 1885, Wallis
