Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in May and June, but with occasional/partial second brood August/September.

Localities: Hazelborough Forest, Pitsford Water, Boughton Park and Bedford Purlieus.

Observations: The incidence of an occasional partial second brood is mentioned in literature and thus may occasionally be encountered in late summer and autumn. On 15 June 2002 nine examples of the moth were attracted to light at Bedford Purlieus. Despite much recording at the site this is the first time that the species has been found there.
