Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very local.

Primary Habitat: Gardens.

Flight Period: Double brooded from June to September.

Localities: Northampton and Wellingborough.

Observations: Formerly the species was present in Kettering to the late 1940’s and at Weekley Hall Wood to 1937. Old 1920’s records from Grafton Park Wood were updated when a moth was taken there in 1973. The first Northampton record was in 1996, since then several moths have been taken at light there. The first Wellingborough record of a singleton was also taken in 1996 but was not repeated until 2003.
