Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Rather local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June to August.

Localities: Salcey Forest, Horn Wood, Rockingham Park and Belham Wood.

Observations: The moth can sometimes be netted at dusk flying in woodland. Although not strongly attracted to m.v. light, it was abnormally common at the Fineshade Rothamsted light trap in the 1990’s. Detailed results are as follows:-

By comparison the moth has not been seen at the Pitsford Water light traps in the decade to 2010.
