and Abundance: Very common.
Primary Habitat: General
occurrence.
Flight Period: Single
brooded in July and August.
Observations: The
species is often very common at light, especially in
gardens. The banded typical form seems to be less common
than the plain form, ab. remutata, in
Northamptonshire. Records of plain and banded moths taken
at light in 2002 from four sites produces the following
results:-
