Observations: Following
the first record the moth has been seen in the county in
most years, however until the high migration year of 2006
records had tailed off somewhat. In 2006 fifty-three
examples of the moth were recorded in the county greatly
increasing the mapped distribution of the species. At
this stage it is not known to what extent this is a
pattern for the future and the overall effect on the
scarcity of the moth. Records from the Pitsford Water
static light traps for the eight years from 1999 to 2006
are as follows:- 1999 - 3, 2000 - 3, 2001 - 2, 2002
0, 2003 0, 2004 0, 2005 0 and
2006 - 7 .
