Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Rare.

Primary Habitat: Wetland.

Record: 1986 Sywell (J. Dunkley) and 19 July 2006 Grimscote
(A. Molyneux).

Observations: The 2006 record was of a single moth taken in a garden light trap. There are few early records for this species. Apart from those in, “The Lepidoptera of Northamptonshire,” mentioned below, the only other known records are 1971 Yardley Gobion (C. Robinson) and in the 1950’s and 1960’s Peterborough (S. Pooles). The species is almost certainly under recorded in the county.
