Status: Resident. 

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Single brooded from May to July.

Observations: Returns from the woodland Rothamsted light trap for the 1990’s give useful information on the abundance and flight period of the moth. Viz:-
