Status: Former resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Record: 1940 - 1960 Bedford Purlieus (P. Gent).

Observations: The destruction of much of the acid grassland at Bedford Purlieus and the development of more uniform tree cover within the wood has probably been decisive in the loss of this species.
