Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Gardens.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June into August.

Localities: Hazelborough Forest, Kelmarsh Lake, Geddington Chase and Spanhoe Wood.

Observations: In my experience the moth is not strongly attracted to m.v. light. It occurs on the red and black currant bushes in my garden and can be disturbed from the bushes by day. Although I have operated a garden moth trap during the moths flight period annually I have only seen the moth at light once in the past decade.
