Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Hedgerows.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: Returns from the Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the 1990’s give good information on flight period and abundance:-

The Pitsford Water static light traps show an annual average of forty-eight moths for the decade to 2009.
