Status: Resident.  

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Hedgerows.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: Returns from the Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the 1990’s give good information on flight period and abundance:-
