Status:  Resident.

Distribution and Abundance:  Rather local.

Primary Habitat:  Wetland.

Flight Period:  Single brooded in May and June.

Localities:  Old Pastures, Rushton Hall School grounds, Lilford Park and Blatherwycke Lake.

Observations:  The moth was numerous at light on 3 June 1992 on the planted Italian alders just to the north of the Barford Meadows boundary. The moths in this colony are larger than normal and contrast with the smaller moths found on the riverside alders along the nearby River Ise.
