Status: Unknown.

Distribution and Abundance: Rare - Protected Species.

Primary Habitat: Hedgerows.

Flight Period: Double brooded in May and July/August.

Observations: This species is found in hedgerows and sunny, open woodland. A single colony was established in the county as part of the Butterfly Conservation Action for Threatened Moths project. Please note that a licence is required to perform targeted survey work for this species. It appears that this colony has now died-out. Further targeted survey work in the county has not revealed further colonies
