Status: Resident. 

Distribution and Abundance: Common.

Primary Habitat: Hedgerows.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June to August.

Observations: On 23 July 2004 at Badby Wood fifteen examples of this moth were attracted to three 125w. m.v. lights and one actinic light trap. In my experience the number of moths seen at light on this occasion is above average. Generally I have found the moth more readily by netting it in its dusk flight.

Confusion Species: Rivulet

L.O.N.: 1904. Castle Ashby, Barnwell, Kettering. Not common.
