Status: Resident. 

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Waste ground.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Localities: Hazelborough Wood, Old Pastures, Boughton Park and Castor Hanglands.   

Observations: The species is usually seen in small numbers at light as borne out by the results from the Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the 1990’s. Viz:-

The Pitsford Water static light traps show the moth only having been recorded once in the decade to 2009 with two moths being taken in 2002.
