Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Observations: Data on flight period and abundance from the Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in open woodland in the 1990’s is as follows:-

The average flight period being 1 June - 14 July and the average annual number of moths trapped, three.
