Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: General occurrence.

Flight Period: Single brooded from June into August.

Observations: The Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the 1990’s produced the following information on abundance and flight periods:-

1994    3 July - 15 July        14
1995    2 July - 16 July        23
1996    6 July - 28 July        39
1997  18 June - 21 July       18
1998  24 June - 27 July       39
1999  22 June - 25 July       50
2000  27 June -   7 August   32
The moth was particularly common at light at Boughton Park in 2003.
