Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in July and August.

Localities: Hazelborough Forest, Salcey Forest, Geddington Chase and Fineshade.

Observations: The moth was particularly common on 14 August 1996 at light traps left overnight in Brampton Wood when some forty examples were observed at rest around the lights in the morning.
