Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Record: 22 May 2003 Old Sulehay Forest (R. Follows).

Observations: The moth was taken at m.v. light and the identification was positively confirmed by genitalia examination by Andy Mackay. The principal foodplant of this species is small-leaved lime which as well as being present at Old Sulehay is also at Bedford Purlieus, Easton Hornstocks and Collyweston Great Wood. In the past unsuccessful attempts to find the species at these sites have been made although as there is such a large area of woodland involved most of the area was not worked. The photograph is of the actual moth. Further singletons were taken at Old Sulehay on 2 June 2005 and 28 May 2010 by Ron Follows.
