brooded in May and June and again in August.

frequently in gardens. Of the four moths of this species taken in
the Fineshade woodland Rothamsted light trap during the 1990s
all were of the second brood being recorded in August and September.
Records from the Pitsford Water light traps over the past five years
show two moths being taken, both of the first brood in May 2000 and
2003. In my garden in Kettering I usually see both broods of the moth
at m.v. light.
