Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded from April to June.

Observations: Data from the Pitsford Water static m.v. light traps show the following catches for the past five years. Viz:- 1999-7, 2000-0, 2001-3, 2002-5 and 2003-1. The moth is sometimes plentiful at light amongst the old hawthorns at Collyweston Quarry.
