Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Grassland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in June and July.

Localities: Bucknell Wood, Hollowell Reservoir, Wakerley old railway and Barnack Hills and Holes.

Observations: The moth can be particularly common in the SSSI hay meadow at Barford Meadows and due to the strength of the colony there is one of the most important species found on the reserve. In 2003 moths were seen on the reserve from the third week in May to the second week in July.
