Status:  Resident.

Distribution and Abundance:  Rather local.

Primary Habitat:  Woodland.

Flight Period:  Double brooded in April and May and again in August.

Localities:  Horn Wood, Blatherwycke Lake, Wittering Coppice and Southey Wood.

Observations:  The moth was common on 12 April 1991 at Castor Hanglands. Several persisted in following Tilley lamps being operated amongst the scrub during a search for another species.
