  Sharp-angled Peacock Semiothisa alternaria

B&F: 1890

ABH: 70.212

Status: Former resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Very local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Localities and Last Record: Bedford Purlieus 1962-1964. Last record 1975-1977 Salcey Forest (D. Brown).

Observations: Salcey Forest has been well worked over the past two decades and the moth has not been seen there. As little recording has been undertaken at Bedford Purlieus in recent years, this site seems to be the best option for updating the presence of the species in the county.

Confusion Species Peacock Moth

First Record: 1962, Leach.
