Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Local.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in February and March.

Localities: Yardley Chase, Kirtley Coppice, Rockingham Park and Castor Hanglands.

Observations: The Fineshade Rothamsted light trap running in woodland in the eight years to the year 2000 recorded the moth in every year apart from 1994. A total of twenty-three moths were taken with an overall flight period of 16 February to 28 March.
