  Scarce Umber Agriopis aurantiaria

B&F: 0933

ABH: 70.254

Status: Resident.

Distribution and Abundance: Fairly common.

Primary Habitat: Woodland.

Flight Period: Single brooded in November and December.

Observations: The moth was plentiful in the 1970’s in actinic light traps left overnight under beech at Grafton Park Wood. It was much less so in the 1990’s in m.v. light traps run overnight in a beech wood within Geddington Chase. In the past I have found the pupae commonly under oaks in woodland.
